Pluto no more

Pluto no more

I cached myself today reminiscing about Pluto! Not Disney’s Pluto! The other Pluto, the famous one! You know, the one circling around the Sun.

I remembered when I was in grade school and I heard of the planet Pluto for the first time! The last planet of our solar system! Looking outwards to our galaxy and welcoming any visitor that may find its way towards us. Then, one day Pluto was no more! Yes, it still was named Pluto and it still was where it was supposed to be, but it was not a planet anymore! NOT A PLANET! For a moment I thought they were making way for the hyper spatial express route so I took a deep breath and repeated several times to myself: Don’t panic, don’t panic, don’t panic, DON’T PANIC! Just as a precaution, I grabbed a towel and waited to see what would happen. Even today, I still have a towel within arm’s reach just in case I have to hitch a ride.

So there I was, missing a planet and wondering what else could happen! I will always say there are nine planets; I don’t care what the scientists say! I like my nine planets just the way they are, were! I will not let them take that one away from me. Kids born today, will never know that we lost a planet! They will grow up and live a life with the FACT that there are ONLY eight planets left! Eight planets!!!!

I can imagine all the planets getting together at their annual meeting and deciding to strip Pluto of it planetship or whatever is it that planets have that proves they are planets. What did Pluto do to deserve this? Well sources close to the Planetary Security Council said that Pluto had been distant and cold for several ions and that it’s lack of pull on the solar system was what prompted Jupiter to call for a vote on cancelling Pluto’s planet membership.

The planetary council downgraded Pluto to a dwarf planet, not a full planet but a dwarf planet!

So there you have it, Pluto is no longer a planet, imagine what that is doing to the tourism in that region! It must be hard for all Plutonians!

My heart goes out to them! Dam Vogans!!!
